Lafarge's Mold Defense Shaftliner is the company's newest addition to its growing line of mold-resistant drywall products. Designed for use in elevator shafts, duct shafts, stairwells in high-rise construction and area separation walls for multifamily construction, Mold Defense Shaftliner resists mold and mildew growth. It also offers the benefit of a moisture-resistant surface.
Available in 1-inch-thick lengths of 8 feet to 12 feet, Mold Defense Shaftliner features a noncombustible mold-and-mildew-treated gypsum core covered with mold-, mildew- and moisture-treated paper facings. Additionally, Mold Defense Shaftliner is manufactured with more than 98 percent recycled content, qualifying it to contribute to LEED rating points in the construction of environmentally friendly buildings.
